Happiness is a choice!

Say what you Mean and Mean what you say

Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say             The car is full of teenagers and I am the only adult driving the rowdy bunch home from school. We are a new blended family of 14 children. Luckily, we only had 9 sweet darling children living with us, 8 boys and one girl. All of our lives have made dramatic changes. I am now the stepmom instead of the fun neighborhood mom. The mom who had parties, taught 4-h and was saddling horses for the neighborhood kids to ride gentle nags. This mom had rules and she meant what she said and said what she meant. I gave a straightforward warning, “You all need to be quiet, quit fighting, it isn’t safe for me driving or I am going to stop the car and leave you all on the side of the road.” Then new stepchildren thought this was a game. My big boys new different and warned their new siblings their new mom didn’t lie, “you better stop, she doesn’t lie!” The two nearly 200 pounds football player boys started rocking the back of the car and used their loud, low boisterous voices, the stunning, darling girl in

Thank You, Pain

Sometimes the pain is so deep there are no words. Silence is all you have It is personal and your own And the choice is yours Will you stay in the pain? Will you cut through?  Who will pick up the weapon first?  Who will move the hand? After you get through this trial, Who will help you next time?  This is what life is all about. Getting through the pain. If we can get through the pain, we can find happiness. If it was always happy and easy, we wouldn’t appreciate the good times or even the cut through the hard times. I am grateful for people, angels, Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Ghost who pick up the weapon and move the hand to cut through my pain so I can feel hope, happiness, and joy.  Thank you, Carol

To the Love of my Life, Jim

We won We never gave up. We saw the vision And we worked Consistently for years and years Our reward is invisible to many We are not flashy We are not the leaders on stage We sit in the back We hold each other’s hands as tears run down our face We wonder why we did not reach our goals OR have we We have us, health, breath, more than we would have We plant seeds and they are slow-growing We may not see the reward in our lives But the seeds are in the ground as deep roots We have what we need. Much more than we had. We have been blessed. We may never advance on stage again, But someone we introduced will change the world Because we never gave up We keep on keeping on Because we do, a legacy is born We are the messenger and others have the decision to listen Some will, some won’t, so what? Their life will change or won’t Some will have more and be more Because we never gave up We are the little man We changed our own life in a big way To the world, it seems small

See what is new in the Western world

When I started my eBay business I had I thought I knew where I was going but it was constantly changing. I have tried to work through different platforms and when it came down to it eBay and Amazon are the biggest platforms. I personally have not found the success on any other platform. I need to focus on fewer things.  Because I love western wear and the western way of life. It was natural for me to open another eBay store the focuses primarily on the cowboy and cowgirl way of life.  Many of my family members and I just returned home from the World Team Roping Series in Las Vegas. This is where all the big things happen for the cowboys. There are many things like the NFR going on there and there is something for young and old. There are shopping boutiques and arenas set up in many casinos and venues.  I do believe that I am the 1st one and Idaho to wear the new western flared fringe jeans.  I came home with a cold unfortunately,  but it was worth seeing my boys rope. Now l am back to work giving the world the new fashions for the western

Life is hard and when we get through hard we can have a good life

We can be grateful for the “hards,” in our life. We all have them. They are the hard life situations that we think we cannot get through and then we do and we are better because of what we went through. The adversary wants us to think that when we have trials in our lives we did something to deserve it. That we did something wrong and God is punishing us. This is simply not true. This is life and life experiences. As we go through life people die that we love, we have failures and disappointments. People let us down and hurt us. We fight within our own heads that we are not enough. We are not good enough for the blessings and a good life.  I have found that when we do get through these art life experiences, we can be grateful and learn from them. We are better because of them. I married the love of my life after I gave birth to 5 children and had been married for almost 25 years to my first husband. I had a lot of insecurities After I married Jim, a longtime friend of the family, I was devastated that
