Can aloe vera help with acne?
By Jenna Fletcher
Research shows that aloe vera has certain characteristics that may make it effective in fighting acne.
1. Make masks with lemon juice, cinnamon, honey, and tea tree oil.
2. Aloe Vera and tea tree oil are one of my favorites. I was visiting a nurse friend of mine and she told me to take After son and Melaleuca tea tree oil with me. We were going on a vacation to a sunny location in the early spring. Being from Idaho the family did not use to the sun. My light-haired fair skinned son-in-law was burnt badly. He was dehydrated and miserable. I used an aloe Vera based after sun combined with a drop of Melaleuca oil or tea tree oil on his burned skin. Within minutes he was ready to go party with the family. It was astonishing.
Research published in 2017 shows that tea tree oil gels and face washes may be effective for treating mild to moderate acne.
