My uncle, told me this story.
He was a salesman and was earning $250,000 a year. He was put in a management position to help the others sales people do what he does. He gave 100 sales people a rock. 50 of these sales people received a real genuine malachite stone. The other 50 received a replica. No one knew what one was real but my uncle.
He told these sales people to keep the rock with them every day and to bring it back in a year and we would see what the result were.
One year later the 100 sales people showed up for their yearly training. He asked everyone who had “really” kept the stone with them every day, to come up.
40 people came up, and he divided them between the real stone and the replica.
Out of the top 20 people in the company that year 19 of them had the real malachite stone.
Then he handed me a genuine malachite stone. He said,”You earn the first $50,000 and the stone will do the nest $50,000.
I looked and looked for another stone to give to my friends. I finally found some beads in a little rock shop in Salt Lake City. He didn’t have any more stones. Someone had come in and bought them all.
So I decided to make jewelry with my beads. I thought I would share.
